Clinical Nurse Manager 2 - Cath Lab

We are currently hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager 2- Cath Lab for a hospital in Galway, Ireland.

This is a permanent, full-time position, 37.5 hours per week

 Responsibilities​

• Coordinate, assess, plan, implement and review patient care in line with established clinical standards
  

• Take clinical responsibility for the assigned area on a daily basis in conjunction with CNM colleagues
  

• Provide professional and clinical leadership to nursing staff within the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory and Non-Invasive Cardiology Evaluation Department
  

• Support the CNM III in the effective management and smooth running of the assigned area
  

• Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of nursing standards, protocols and clinical guidelines
  

• Promote effective teamwork, communication and collaboration with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams
  

• Ensure compliance with health and safety, radiation safety, infection control, controlled drug and other relevant hospital policies
  

• Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors and promptly address any concerns affecting patient care or wellbeing
  

• Supervise, support and facilitate the ongoing education, professional development and performance management of nursing staff
  

• Maintain current professional knowledge through continuing professional development, nursing research, relevant training and study days
  

Requirements

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
  

• Postgraduate qualification in Cardiology is essential, with a management qualification desirable
  

• Minimum of 5 years’ Cath Lab experience or completion of a relevant specialist course
  

• Proven clinical, leadership, managerial and customer care skills
  

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate information clearly and effectively
  

• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and professional development skills
  

• Demonstrated ability to motivate, supervise and support nursing staff
  

• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team with flexibility in work practices
  

• Strong organisational, planning, time management, delegation and multitasking skills
  

• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and patient-centred care
