Description

Blue Core is a growing manufacturer of high-quality marine upholstery and seating for leading boat builders. We are looking for team members who value quality, productivity, accountability, and teamwork and want to grow with us.

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Final Assembly Operator to assemble and install the final components and hardware on marine seating and upholstery products. This hands-on role helps ensure each piece is complete, assembled correctly, and meets Blue Core’s quality standards before shipment.

What You'll Do

  • Complete final assembly of marine seats, backrests, bolsters, coaming panels, armrests, leaning posts, helm seats, and other upholstery components
  • Install hinges, brackets, stainless-steel hardware, armrests, cup holders, mounting hardware, and other components
  • Assemble upholstered components to plastic, Starboard, wood, and other backing materials
  • Use drills, impact drivers, rivet guns, staple guns, hand tools, and other assembly equipment
  • Read and follow assembly drawings, work instructions, part numbers, and production schedules
  • Verify the correct parts, hardware, and options are installed for each boat model
  • Inspect completed assemblies for fit, alignment, appearance, loose hardware, damage, or other quality concerns
  • Correct minor assembly issues and communicate larger quality concerns to the appropriate team members
  • Help ensure complete boat sets are assembled correctly and ready for shipment on schedule
  • Work closely with Upholstery, CNC/Plastic, Quality Control, Shipping, and other production teams
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment
  • Assist with rework, replacement parts, and other production needs as required

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, automotive, marine, cabinetry, construction, mechanical work, or another hands-on environment is preferred
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Ability to read a tape measure and follow basic drawings and assembly instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining consistent workmanship
  • Dependable attendance and ability to work well as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn Blue Core's products, boat models, part numbers, and quality standards
  • Ability to identify and address problems rather than passing defective work to the next operation

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and work on your feet for the majority of the shift
  • Ability to regularly lift and move marine seating and components
  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive assembly tasks
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment

What We Offer

  • Weekly pay
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Company-paid life and long-term disability insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Additional voluntary benefit options
  • A collaborative, team-focused work environment

Benefits, paid time off, and other offerings are subject to applicable eligibility requirements.

Please note: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
