Blue Core is a growing manufacturer of high-quality marine upholstery and seating for leading boat builders. We are looking for team members who value quality, productivity, accountability, and teamwork and want to grow with us.


We are seeking an Upholstery Technician to assemble and finish high-quality custom marine seating, panels, and other upholstered components. This hands-on role requires craftsmanship, precision, and strong attention to detail to ensure each finished product meets Blue Core’s quality standards.


What You’ll Do

  • Cover, staple, and assemble upholstered pieces for marine interiors
  • Read and follow blueprints and work instructions
  • Use hand and pneumatic tools to fit, stretch, and fasten materials
  • Inspect completed work for fit, appearance, and overall quality
  • Work independently and as part of a production team to meet daily goals
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in marine, automotive, furniture, or similar upholstery strongly preferred
  • Good hand-tool skills and a strong eye for detail
  • Ability to follow blueprints, work instructions, and specifications accurately
  • Comfortable performing hands-on, physical work, including lifting, bending, and stretching materials
  • Reliable, positive, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
  • A brief job-related skills and physical ability assessment may be conducted during the interview to evaluate essential job functions

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks as needed
  • Ability to safely perform hands-on upholstery work for the majority of the shift
