We value leaders and team members who communicate clearly, take ownership, and follow through on commitments.About the Position:The Safety/Security Officer helps maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment throughout Treetops Resort. This position conducts patrols, responds to emergencies and guest service requests, identifies safety and security concerns, investigates incidents, protects resort assets, and supports overall resort operations. Successful candidates demonstrate professionalism, strong judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to guest service.Responsibilities:  Conduct routine patrols of resort facilities, parking lots, lodging areas, golf and ski operations, restaurants, employee areas, and recreational facilities. Identify and report safety hazards, suspicious activity, property damage, unsecured facilities, and policy violations. Respond to emergency and non-emergency incidents including medical emergencies, injuries, disturbances, fire alarms, severe weather events, accidents, lost persons, thefts, and other safety or security concerns. Assist with evacuations, shelter-in-place procedures, emergency scene management, and coordination with emergency responders when required. Complete accurate incident reports, daily logs, investigation documentation, witness statements, and other required records. Assist with investigations involving guest incidents, employee injuries, thefts, property damage, vehicle accidents, and safety concerns. Monitor and help protect resort property, assets, equipment, facilities, and restricted-access areas. Support key control, access control, room-entry procedures, wellness checks, and lost-and-found operations in accordance with established procedures. Operate company vehicles and golf carts safely and assist with accident response and documentation when needed. Support workplace safety initiatives by identifying hazards, reporting unsafe conditions, and reinforcing safe work practices. Maintain professional communication with guests, employees, management, emergency responders, and other departments. Provide exceptional guest service by assisting guests, answering questions, providing directions, and resolving concerns professionally. Participate in required training, emergency drills, and ongoing department development programs. Perform other duties as assigned in support of resort operations.Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in security, hospitality, emergency response, military, law enforcement, fire service, or a related field preferred. Valid driver's license and ability to meet Treetops Resort driving requirements. Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/AED/First Aid certification. Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn resort reporting and communication systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies and stressful situations.Physical Requirements: Regularly walk, stand, climb stairs, bend, kneel, reach, push, and pull. Work on uneven terrain. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including snow, rain, heat, and cold. Respond quickly to incidents and emergencies throughout resort property. Safely operate company vehicles and golf carts. Team Members may be scheduled to workdays, afternoons, overnights, weekends, holidays, special events, and emergency coverage based on operational and business needs. Work schedules may vary, and there is no guarantee of a consistent shift, fixed schedule, or specific number of work hours. Team Members are expected to maintain flexibility in their availability to meet departmental staffing and operational requirements.Mandatory overtime may be required at times due to staffing shortages, special events, emergencies, or other operational needs, in accordance with applicable labor laws and resort policies.Core Accountabilities: Follow established Safety/Security policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
