Camshaft Technician I

Georgetown, TX

Description

  • Verification of Polishing Op being completed.
  • Verification that part SKU numbers and quantities match their relative Manufacturing Orders.
  • Visual Inspection of all camshafts from start to finish of prep.
  • Accurately log the movement of parts through the process.
  • Machine the rear face of all camshafts prior to wash with a belt sander.
  • Wash all camshafts making sure to completely cover in Rust Preventative.
  • Aids other Camshaft Dept team members with tasks throughout the day during downtime.
  • Maintains positive working relationship with manufacturing personnel and other staff members to support a positive workplace environment.
  • Responsible for withholding industry standard safety procedures throughout the Camshaft department.
  • Keeps work area well cleaned and safe for other individuals.
  • Keeps other work areas well cleaned during downtime, including other areas of the Camshaft department along with other areas of the Manufacturing Center.
  • Performs and executes all other duties assigned by direct manager.

  • Dynamic, high-energy individual with a track record as an effective communicator and uses a collaborative approach to problem solving.
  • Mechanical abilities preferred.
  • Prior automotive knowledge preferred.
  • Be able to lift up to 65 pounds
