Position Purpose
Holy Cross Health Germantown, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking an experienced and collaborative RN Supervisor to provide clinical and operational leadership for our Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Unit at Holy Cross Germantown Hospital. This role serves as the designated nursing leader during assigned shifts, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting colleagues, operational excellence, and efficient unit performance.
Working in partnership with nursing leadership, the RN Supervisor coordinates patient care activities, oversees staffing and resource utilization, promotes quality and safety initiatives, and serves as a clinical expert and mentor for the interdisciplinary care team.
What You Will Do
- Provide clinical and operational leadership for the Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Unit during assigned shifts.
- Coordinate and supervise patient care delivery to ensure quality, safety, and exceptional patient outcomes.
- Direct and support professional and non-professional staff while fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, organizational, and nursing practice standards.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of patient care standards and care delivery processes.
- Support quality improvement, patient safety, patient experience, and performance excellence initiatives.
- Facilitate colleague onboarding, orientation, training, and ongoing professional development.
- Participate in performance management activities through coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback.
- Serve as a clinical resource, role model, and escalation point for patient care issues and operational concerns.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of three (3) years of acute care nursing experience in Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, or a related inpatient setting.
- Demonstrated leadership, charge nurse, or supervisory experience.
- Strong communication, organizational, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related healthcare field.
- Previous Nurse Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or nursing leadership experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- National specialty certification.
Position Salary and Benefits

Pay Range: $42.20 - $61.00 per hour
Pay is based on experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be compensated on a salary basis equivalent to the stated hourly range. Geographic differentials may apply.
