Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas
The position of Technical Officers would be primarily responsible for supporting the team in defined geography by providing on-site services in terms of paint performance, ensuring quality during application process and handling complaints, ensuring quality control methods thereby achieving overall
business objectives.

1. Site Evaluation & Product Recommendation
  • Conduct site visits for new construction and repainting projects.
  • Check surface conditions: moisture levels, cracks, efflorescence, alkalinity, fungal growth.
  • Recommend correct painting system (primer–putty–topcoat).
  • Ensure product specification compliance.
2. Technical Demonstrations & Trials
  • Conduct mock-up demos for interior emulsions, exterior coatings, textures, and waterproofing systems.
  • Provide on-site sample panels for architect/contractor approval.
  • Handle texture application guidance.
3. Contractor & Painter Training
  • Train painters on proper surface preparation and application techniques.
  • Conduct painter meets and technical workshops.
  • Introduce new products and tools to painter network.
4. Complaint Handling & Resolution
  • Inspect paint defects such as peeling, chalking, shade variation, patchiness, flaking, and dampness.
  • Diagnose root causes and provide corrective action plans.
  • Prepare technical reports and ensure timely complaint closure.
5. Support to Project Sales Team
  • Provide technical presentations to builders and architects.
  • Help in securing project approvals through technical capability.
  • Work closely with sales executives for project conversions.
6. Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain daily visit reports and site inspection forms.
  • Update demo records, complaint reports, and training logs.
  • Track project pipeline technically and follow up for project closure.
  • Assist the Sales Team in conducting product trials and build inferences on JSW Paints product
Description
  • Devise ways in which these product strengths can be communicated to the consumers and influencers.
  • Conduct pre-painting site inspection, on-site inspection and post-painting site inspection for all fresh and repainting project sites.
  • Understand the requirements from Customer and propose the solutions based on site evaluation.
  • Conduct product sampling at the site based on the requirement.
  • Conduct regular supervision of ongoing sites along with CROs to ensure right product application practices.
  • Coordinate proactively with Sales team about the details of the sites where warranty needs to be issued.
  • Timely issue of Site warranty certificates.
  • Closure of customer complaint within the defined timelines.
  • Compliance to inspection schedule to ensure Quality at the sites
  • Investigate complaints reported at sites and resolve within the defined timelines
  • Conduct customer complaints analysis and share the findings with Sales, R&D and Marketing function to avoid reoccurrence
  • Conduct random checks of draw down tinting process at godowns and ensure shade compliances.
  • Conduct site inspection to verify actual application process against the recommended process.
  • Provide training to sampling painters on application process for all products.
  • Brief the Project Sales team on the technical aspects of all existing and new products
  • Conduct product trials and building inferences on JSW Paints product strength vis-a-vis products in market.
  • Devise ways in which the product strengths can be communicated to the consumers and influencer.
  • Integrate with Research and Technology function for new product development based on technological trends in the market.Candidate Profile


Requirements

Educational & Work Experience:
  • B.Tech (Mechanical / Chemical) / M. Tech (Mechanical / Chemical)
  • B.Sc (Chemistry)
  • Candidates with added Diploma (Paints Technology) will be given more preference.
  • 3-6 years of post qualification’ experience in Paints and demonstrated experience and success in similar role.
