EMG Technician FT

Job Details: Job Location: Neurology/Rheumatology - Gibson City, IL, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $27.00 - $37.00Hourly, HOURS & SHIFT REQUIREMENTS:  Full time, 40 hours per week                                                                 JOB DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:  The EMG tech will function as a resource person to physicians, their staff, patient’s family members and hospital staff.   Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to: Observance of the electrical activity in nerves using electromyography equipment. Prepare patients for testing, which includes applying a conducive paste to the area where testing will be carried out, and attaching recording devices to the body. Educate patient by explaining the procedure being performed, and communicate with the physician throughout the procedure.In addition to performing EMG testing, this position will assist with clinical support duties, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, preparing examination rooms, assisting providers, preparing patient charts, and answering phones as needed.                                                                                                                                             Qualifications: Must be computer literate and preferably experienced in EMR & perform other duties as directed. Efficiency and time management skills are required. Confidentiality is a priority.  BLS preferred.
