Specific Accountabilities:Â
Installation of switchgearÂ
Rough and finish wiring and control systemsÂ
Installs system components and wiring in compliance with the applicable standardsÂ
Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains electrical control circuits for motors and control devices for various electrical devicesÂ
Test repaired equipment for proper performanceÂ
Instruct and coach apprenticesÂ
Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair techniquesÂ
Other assigned work as requiredÂ

Ability to read schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams.Â

It is very important that the incumbent of this position is able to work and communicate with prudence, while effectively managing time, completing tasks, and working safely.Â
Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g. safety glasses, safety boots, ear protection, etc.).Â
Regularly works near moving parts.Â
Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.Â
Noise levels can fluctuate from quiet to loud.Â
May work in tight spacesÂ
Hazards associated with the industry.Â

Education and Experience:Â
High school diploma, GED or equivalentÂ
Completion of college/vocational or technical training preferredÂ
Appropriate credentials and certificationsÂ
Ability to work independently in a busy environmentÂ
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environmentÂ
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writingÂ
Able to work well under pressureÂ
Strong attention to detailÂ
Able to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all timesÂ
