Northfield Mount Hermon (NMH) seeks a Constituent Engagement and Campus Events Coordinator to provide logistical and administrative support for events and programs that connect alumni, families, donors, and the broader NMH community. You are the right person for this job if you enjoy the energy of events, take pride in making sure no detail is overlooked, and find satisfaction in helping guests feel welcomed and valued. Working directly with the Director of Family Engagement and Campus Events, you'll help turn event plans into successful experiences by coordinating the many moving parts that happen both behind the scenes and on the day of an event. From campus celebrations to regional gatherings, your work will help create opportunities for members of the NMH community to connect, celebrate, and strengthen their relationships with the school.

Why NMH

  • A robust 11% 403(b) contribution (with a 3% employee contribution)

  • Generous paid time off, including three weeks of annual paid vacation

  • Tired of packing lunch? Enjoy meals in our dining hall while on duty and save an average of $2,700 a year.

  • Tuition remission for dependent children of high school age who meet the acceptance requirements of the school

About NMH

Northfield Mount Hermon, an independent boarding and day school located in the beautiful Connecticut River Valley of Massachusetts, was founded on the principles of inclusivity and community — values that have been central to the school’s mission since 1879. NMH engages the intellect, compassion, and talents of its students, empowering them to act with humanity and purpose.

A Day in the Life

The Constituent Engagement and Campus Events Coordinator manages the administrative and logistical details that help NMH events run smoothly, from registration and preparation to on-site support and post-event follow-up. A typical day may include managing event registrations and RSVPs, coordinating venue arrangements, catering, and audiovisual needs, communicating with vendors and campus partners, and preparing event materials. The Coordinator also assists with regional alumni and family gatherings, volunteer coordination, and welcoming guests during major events. No two days will look exactly alike, offering a mix of administrative work, event preparation, and hands-on support during campus and community events.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

  • Previous internship, student leadership, or entry-level experience in event planning, hospitality, or higher education/nonprofit administration preferred.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong time-management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong customer-service mindset and the ability to interact professionally and courteously with community members from various backgrounds.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records, manage event registrations, and coordinate multiple logistical details.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications. Experience with CRM databases and event registration platforms preferred.

  • Experience preparing and managing mail merges, including organizing data, personalizing communications, and ensuring accuracy.

  • Commitment to NMH's mission and appreciation for the school community.
