Housekeeper

Position Summary

Responsible for general housekeeping in vacancies, office areas, storage areas, laundry and utility rooms, and other common areas of the apartment complex.

Position Accountabilities:

1. Thoroughly, efficiently, and safely cleans apartment vacancies, offices, storage rooms, laundry and utility rooms, and other common areas as required by EMPLOYER.
2. Reads and becomes familiar with any job-related reading materials supplied by HUD or EMPLOYER and attends all such training sessions as are required by EMPLOYER.
3. Report (in writing) within 48 hours any on-the-job injury whatsoever that may result in a workman's compensation claim.
4. In a timely manner, inform the EMPLOYER of any cleaning supplies or materials needed on the premises.
5. Maintains good resident, employee, and neighborhood relations.
6. Reports to EMPLOYER, in a timely manner, any safety hazards that exist in areas serviced by housekeeper.
7. Refers all tenant requests for repairs or maintenance to the office for proper processing.
8. Replace, as necessary, such items as light bulbs, light globes, range drip pans, air filters, oven racks, ice trays, shelves, etc.
9. Maintains all cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies, and stores it in a safe, secure manner.

The following job accountabilities may be reassigned:

1. Reports, in a timely manner, any unusual tenant or guest problems as well as any crime, violence or safety hazards to EMPLOYER.
2. Clocks in and out of payroll system and verifies and submits their time semi-monthly.

OTHER DUTIES:

1. Sweep and hose down balcony areas.
2. Sweep down all sidewalks.
3. Pick up property grounds in assigned areas.
4. Pull out appliances for cleaning.
5. Conduct self in professional, polite, and courteous manner.
6. All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
7. Assist Service Coordinator as necessary.
