On the road
Loads pick up at a paper mill in Glens Falls. About 70% deliver to New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Mix of live unloads and preloaded trailers. Day shift, and you are off on the 6 company holidays. In winter you may need to chain up, and you will be shown how.
What new drivers ask most
- “Will I really be home every weekend?” Yes. You run Monday to Friday. Weekend work is voluntary.
- “What if there is no load for me?” You are paid $150 for that day.
- “My backing is rough.” That is normal. You practice for weeks with a mentor beside you first.
