Summary Job Description

Provide oversight of maintenance of overall facility, including the warehouse distribution center. Responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the day-to-day operation of all building infrastructure and equipment, maintenance activities, warehouse inventory equipment and vehicles. Responsible for creating and managing safety and security policies and procedures organization-wide.  

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and provide guidance and education on optimal building and grounds maintenance to include OSHA compliance, emergency preparedness, and compliance with applicable health and safety rules and regulations
  • Develop and lead health and safety training and compliance programs in alignment with OSHA requirements for all employees in the organization
  • Oversee HVAC maintenance and repairs 
  • Plan and manage facility central services such as HR, security, cleaning, catering, vending, waste disposal and parking
  • Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment
  • Procurement and contract management for all building and maintenance needs; obtain quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers; negotiate contracts to optimize delivery and cost saving
  • Development security plan and oversee security staff and/or services
  • Oversee utilities and building IT infrastructure
  • Conduct and document regular facilities audits and inspections
  • Coordinate internal office moves
  • Implement best practice processes to increase efficiency
  • Coordinate and monitor activities of contract suppliers
  • Manage contractor and vendor relationships
  • Manage and review service contracts to ensure facility management needs are met
  • Ensure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are met
  • Plan and monitor appropriate facility management staffing levels
  • Ensure efficient utilization of facility maintenance
  • Staff performance manage, develop and train staff
  • Prepare and track facility budget
  • Monitor expenses and payments
  • Generate and present regular reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures and purchase
  • Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives
  • Advise on and monitor energy efficiency
  • Oversee environmental health and safety
  • Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures
  • Provide prompt response to requests and issues from facility occupants 

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; demonstrated leadership experience; familiar with computers and standard software applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.

Technical Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Facilities Management
  • Strong understanding of warehouse control systems
  • Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical and automated systems.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems. 
  • Employee Safety and Security Program Development experience
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Vendor and Negotiation Experience
  • Landscaping Management
  • Budget Management
  • Ability to travel, including to disaster areas.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to take initiative and work independently.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs, to travel via automobile or airplane at a moment’s notice. Must pass (clear) toxicology screening.
