Job DetailsJob Location: Plant 8 - Goshen, IN 46526Position Type: SalaryWho We Are At Genesis, we don’t just build products, we build careers, teams, and a culture people are proud to be part of. We’re a fast-growing, people-first manufacturing company with a strong track record of innovation, operational excellence, and internal growth. We believe great teams are built intentionally. That means investing in our people, empowering leaders, and creating an environment where accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement thrive. Our culture is rooted in agility, enjoyment in the work we do, and always improving as individuals, teams, and a company. If you’re looking for a place where your work matters, your ideas are heard, and your growth is taken seriously, you’ll feel at home at Genesis.  The Opportunity We’re looking for a Product Engineer to help design and develop cabinetry and other wood-based components for the RV industry. This isn’t an engineering role where you’ll spend your entire day behind a screen. You’ll take products from concept through production — creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, developing CNC tool paths, building and evaluating prototypes, and working directly with manufacturing to make sure your designs perform in the real world. You’ll move between the CAD workstation, CNC router, shop floor, customers, and vendors while working alongside other engineers and cross-functional teams to bring new products to life and continuously improve the way our existing products are engineered and manufactured. If you enjoy solving problems, getting hands-on with your designs, and seeing something you engineered become a finished product, this could be a great fit.  What You’ll Do Design and develop new and existing cabinetry and wood-based products for RV applications Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D specification drawings, with a strong emphasis on manufacturability Develop CNC tool-path programs and program/operate CNC routers Coordinate prototype and production sample builds — and jump in to execute builds yourself when needed Partner closely with manufacturing to ensure parts are fabricated and assembled according to design intent Work directly with customers to understand product needs, support new programs, and develop engineering solutions Provide technical input for product quotes and collaborate with vendors on engineering changes Evaluate proposed product and engineering changes for feasibility, manufacturability, and overall impact before implementation Inspect finished components to verify compliance with drawings and design specifications Develop and continuously improve engineering standards, procedures, and technical documentation Collaborate with fellow engineers and cross-functional partners to execute large and complex projects Troubleshoot product and manufacturing challenges and help drive practical solutions from concept through production Perform other duties as assigned QualificationsWhat You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field 3–5 years of relevant product, design, or manufacturing engineering experience Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling; Autodesk Inventor strongly preferred, with SolidWorks experience also considered Experience with CNC router programming; AlphaCAM strongly preferred Ability to read, create, and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and production orders Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D design software Understanding of wood, composite, or similar manufacturing processes Strong mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach to solving product and manufacturing challenges Ability to use calipers and other precision measuring instruments Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, manufacturing, vendors, and customers  What Will Make You Stand Out Experience engineering cabinetry, casework, millwork, furniture, or other wood-based products Hands-on experience programming and operating CNC routers Experience with Autodesk Inventor and AlphaCAM Experience supporting products from initial concept and prototyping through full-scale manufacturing Experience working directly with customers in an engineering or product-development capacity Experience within the RV, transportation, cabinetry, furniture, or related manufacturing industries  Why You’ll Love Working Here Competitive compensation – Salary rates that meet or exceed local market standards Health coverage (medical, dental & vision) – Comprehensive benefits available from day one 401(k) – Employee contributions begin day one; company match eligibility after 6 months  Genesis Products is an equal opportunity employer.Â
