The Deicer plays a critical role in maintaining safe aircraft operations during winter weather conditions. This position is responsible for inspecting aircraft for frozen contamination, performing de/anti-icing procedures using glycol-based fluids, and ensuring all deicing activities are completed safely and in accordance with airline, IDS, and regulatory requirements.
路 Perform aircraft de/anti-icing operations in accordance with airline, IDS, and safety procedures.
路 Inspect aircraft before and after deicing to identify and confirm removal of frozen contamination.
路 Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all company policies and operational procedures.
路 Participate in pre-event planning activities, including equipment inspections and operational readiness checks.
路 Service and prepare deicing equipment, including fueling vehicles and replenishing glycol supplies as required.
路 Complete required operational paperwork, records, and logbook documentation accurately and on time.
路 Report maintenance concerns promptly and ensure all equipment issues are documented and communicated to maintenance personnel.
路 Follow all equipment shutdown and pad closure procedures at the conclusion of operations.
路 Must be at least 18 years of age.
路 High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
路 Valid driver鈥檚 license required.
路 Intermediate computer skills.
路 Ability to read, write, understand, and follow instructions in English.
路 Ability to communicate clearly and provide verbal direction in English.
路 Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
路 Successful completion of all IDS classroom and on-the-job de/anti-icing training requirements.
路 Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees and client representatives.
路 Ability to speak and hear effectively in a safety-sensitive work environment.
路 This is a part-time seasonal position.
路 No travel is anticipated for this role.
路 This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
路 Work is performed outdoors and may involve prolonged standing in varying weather conditions, exposure to dust, dirt, fuel, fumes, noise, heavy equipment, and moving vehicles.
路 Must be able to squat, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch, crawl, climb ladders, and work at heights exceeding 15 feet.
路 Must be able to use hands and arms to handle equipment, tools, and controls.
路 Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
路 May be exposed to loud noises, hazardous materials, and potentially dangerous machinery or equipment.
路 Must be able to obtain and maintain all security clearances required by Transport Canada, TSA, and/or local airport authorities.
路 Must successfully pass all required pre-employment background screenings.
