Rental Attendant 

Reports To: Commercial Operations Manager
Department: Rentals
Status: Full Seasonal  

Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour

 

POSITION SUMMARY:  

The Rental Attendant greets guests and assists with ski and snowboard rental equipment setup, including boot fitting, helmet sizing, and ski and snowboard sizing. This role combines customer service and technical skills to help provide a positive, safe experience for skiers and riders of all ability levels. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  • Assist guests in all aspects of the rental experience, including setup of ski and snowboard rental equipment, adjusting equipment and answering questions. 
  • Get certified to tech all types of bindings in Granby Ranch’s rental shop.  
  • Assist with scanning rental assets into our system for accurate return data.  
  • Ensure all guests sign off on their din setting, with parents/guardians signing off for minors. 
  • Maintain an efficient, clean and safe rental shop. 
  • Always prevent theft. 
  • Maintain rental fleet and inventory including boots, skis, snowboards, poles and snowshoes. 
  • Check rental reservations daily to be aware of next-day bookings. 
  • Assist with daily rental equipment returns and put back to designated storage.   
  • Assist in tracking equipment, inventory, check in and check out processes. 
  • Complete all data input and paperwork organization daily. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assist with Retail, Scanning, Tickets and Ski School departments when needed and as requested. 
  • Learn how to sell ticket and rental products at the POS.  
  • Be aware of retail offerings to promote sales. 
  • Learn how to sell retail at POS. 
  • Assist with Ticket Scanning outside during lunch breaks and high-volume season. 
  • Maintain an exceptional level of professional guest service in all interactions with guests, fellow employees, and other department managers. 
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: 

  • Knowledge of winter snow sport equipment. 
  • Talking to others to convey information effectively. 
  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. 
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS: 

  •  High School diploma or equivalent or actively enrolled in High School. 
  • Preferred prior experience in a ski & snowboard rental shop.  
  • Preferred experience in skiing and riding. 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: 

  • Must be capable of working in a high volume, fast-paced environment. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.  
  • Must be able to lift boots, bindings and skis for an extended period of time.  
  • Must be able to Walk, Kneel, Squat, Climb (ladders), Reach, Grab, Push, Pull, Lift, Sit, and Stand. 
  • All weekends and holidays required.
