Who We Are Looking For
Join our Production team in an entry-level role building wire harnesses and cable assemblies. You'll learn light assembly, wire splicing, heat shrinking, and labeling β following standard work instructions and building hands-on skills with each project. No prior experience required; we'll train you on the tools and processes.
Essential Responsibilities
Reading & Following Production Documentation
- Learn to read and use blueprints, work orders, wire lists, and other written instructions to identify materials and follow the correct assembly sequence
- Correctly identify colors and use basic measuring tools like rulers and tape measures
- Recognize different assembly components and understand how the product moves through production
Wire & Cable Processing
- Plug wires into connectors, ensuring proper connection to meet productivity and quality standards
- Cut and process multi-conductor cable using various cutting tools
- Route and assemble wires according to specifications
- Splice wires accurately and with limited errors
- Operate a heat shrink tool to seal tubing around wire
- Understand correct connector and terminal orientation, including multiple positions
- Follow proper labeling procedures
- Operate a cable tie gun and troubleshoot minor issues
- Set up and run continuity testing, then print results sheets
- Bundle or bag finished product to customer specifications
- Pack finished assemblies for quality review
- Follow all safety standards when using heat guns, wire strippers, cutters, and other hand tools
Quality & Documentation
- Visually inspect assemblies throughout production to confirm quality standards are met
- Track time per project using electronic software to stay on budget
Requirements
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Current knowledge with/or ability to learn the IPC 620B Requirements and LEAN manufacturing principles.
- Ability to learn through verbal and written instruction and apply acquired training.
- Hand/eye coordination and dexterity.
- Strong ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Ability to modify behavior and work activities in response to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles.
- Ability to identify a problem and communicate with Team Leads.
- Motivation to learn and continuously improve skillset.
- Ability to work as a team.
