Description

Job Type: Full-time

Pay is based on experience and productivity. 75K -130K a year

Automotive Technician

Plainfield Ave. | Grand Rapids, MI

We don't care where you learned.

If you can consistently diagnose difficult vehicles, produce quality work, and want to be paid what you're worth, we should talk.

If you aren't there yet—but you're obsessed with getting better—we should probably talk too.

We're building our Plainfield team with one goal: create one of the best independent repair shops in West Michigan.

That means we're selective about who joins us.

What you'll find here

  • An organized shop with defined processes.
  • Service advisors who perform thorough write-ups and communicate with customers.
  • Digital inspections and modern shop management software.
  • Leadership that invests in equipment, training, and the people using both.
  • A Monday-Friday schedule.
  • A team that solves problems instead of pointing fingers.

We believe talented people perform best when expectations are clear and the systems around them actually work.

What we're looking for

You don't need to know everything.

You do need to be one of these two people:

1. A highly skilled technician who can diagnose, repair, and produce at a high level.

OR

2. Someone who is relentlessly driven to become that person.

We can teach skills.

We can't teach work ethic, curiosity, accountability, or pride in your work.

What you'll do

  • Diagnose and repair today's increasingly complex vehicles.
  • Perform complete digital inspections.
  • Work with quality parts and modern equipment.
  • Continue learning as vehicle technology changes.
  • Take ownership of your work.

Compensation

If you bring exceptional value, you'll be compensated accordingly.

We have no interest in paying average wages for exceptional people.

Top performers should be among the highest-paid technicians in our market.

If you're confident in your abilities—or confident you'll earn that reputation—we'd like to meet you.

Requirements

If you have experience with domestic automobiles and are motivated to become an integral contributor to our team, then we are serious about rewarding you with an incredible career opportunity! We pride ourselves on having a strong, committed team. No dealership drama; no micro managing; no filthy shop to drudge through. Best of all we work as a TEAM. You will not be left without support, someone will be there to pick you up and lend a hand when things get tough.
