We are the behavioral health community organization responsible for the delivery of mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and developmental disabilities services for Kent County. We are seeking a Billing and Coding Specialist to provide expert coding and billing functions for the organization in order to accurately reimburse service delivery. The Billing and Coding Specialist  conducts Coordination of Benefit audits at external provider agencies.

 

This position is 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position is remote with some in-person meeting requirements within Kent County.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • High school diploma or GED and 4 years of medical billing experience or Associates degree in Health Information Technology or related field and two years billing experience  
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management 
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Third-party Insurance 
  • Ability to work with and safeguard sensitive and protected provider information and other confidential information 
  • Accuracy to detail  
  • Advanced and highly honed organizational skills 
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use 
  • Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued 
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certification as a biller or coder
