Job DetailsJob Location: Grand Rapids, MI 49512Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DaySummary:  Assist the HR team and Director of HR in supporting the Operations business unit through the implementation of Human Resources strategies. Serve as the focal point to line management and employees for the facility’s day-to-day operational needs. Perform a variety of human resources related duties at the professional level and carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: affirmative action, employment, recruiting. Link business and employee objectives to achieve increased business results.      Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Sources talent and builds a pipeline of candidates.  Partners with all departments in TN to ensure the timely filling of open requestions. Completes and coordinates interviews. Obtains compensation analysis from Headquarters.  This requires the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, applicants, vendors, and business partners.  Provide direction for staffing and selection while continuously seeking experienced, qualified, and forward-thinking applicants.   Assists HR Director ensuring the application of company policies, procedures, vision and values, federal and employment laws. Actively participates in meetings and discussions to ensure accurate labor forecasting.   Posts position vacancies within the company, and through use of newspapers, trade publications, internet access, college/trade schools, job fairs, and other means. Facilitates New Employee Orientation.  Communicates policies, procedures and regulations.  Partner with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations. Conducts an initial screening process and selects candidates who meet minimum qualifications.  Schedules / coordinates application completion and interviews as requested Support delivery and administration of Human Resources professional services related to employee, recruitment, staffing, and performance management and employee communication  Interacts with hiring manager regarding all openings and qualified candidates.  Provides guidance and recommendations to the hiring manager Greets candidates and applicants, answers questions about employment opportunities, both in person and by phone Coordinates all pre-employment screenings, including verification of previous employment and education. Extend offers and assists in the negotiation of employment offers as needed.  Generates offer and rejection letters Coordinates and/or sends reply notices to candidates, as needed, acknowledge their interest in employment opportunities with Consumer Product Partners. Administer the company attendance policy to include follow up with supervisors and payroll in accordance with company policy Assist ER Manager in Employee Relations issues.  May actively participate in a variety of Human Resources initiatives.  Coordinate and conduct New Hire Orientation for employees Assist employees in completing new hire benefits  Answer employees’ Benefit and payroll questions  Assist department manager with coordinating temporary staffing for various special projects Enters data for applicant tracking and regulatory compliance to include the Affirmative Action Plan; performance evaluation logging/tracking Assist with the implementation and execution of the company’s new programs and policies  Answers general inquiries/assists employees as needed with related HR questions Ensures presence in all assigned locations, both in person, mobile, and via email, for all shifts as needed to support our employees with Human Resources needs and meet objectives All other duties as assigned   Supervisory Responsibilities: None   Competencies: Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including knowledge of EEO, ADA and FMLA are a must Requires knowledge of applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations, personnel policies and procedures Experience working with HRIS and timekeeping systems  Kronos experience a plus.
