Resident-Video Content Production

Job Description

Ada Bible Church is seeking a part-time creative individual to join our Creative Arts teams as a Video Content Production Resident. This Residency offers a unique opportunity to work and grow alongside our Video Team, while creating original videos that engage the congregation and inspire them with stories of what God is doing in the Ada Bible Church community. You will be able to apply concepts you have learned in your schoolwork or other jobs to a real-world professional setting while sharing your insights and contributing fresh ideas to the work of Ada Bible Church's Creative Arts team. On Thursdays, you will get to meet with ministry residents at Ada Bible Church for spiritual formation, leadership and ministry development.

What you will do:

  • Operate camera and direct video shoots, ensuring shoots are well-managed and efficient
  • Stage video shoots, giving attention to technical elements of production such as lighting, location, audio, etc.
  • Provide post-production editing of digital video content
  • Create motion graphic animations
  • Work with Video Content Team to develop story concept, story editing, and set design
  • Collaborate to ideate and implement creative vision for content production to support and enhance weekend services and ministry events
  • Build strong working relationships with internal partners to facilitate project communication and collaboration
  • Coordinate volunteers who help support video production projects
  • Work with the Weekend Broadcast Team during weekend services (camera operation, video switching)
  • Attend bi-weekly leadership and development meetings with key leadership staff - Scheduled for the 1st and 3rd Thursdays from 11-12:30PM.


We're looking for:

We are looking for someone with some training and experience in digital video production or similar work. Applicants should have a high-school diploma or GED. A Bachelor's degree isn't required but formal education in a related field is preferred.

Beyond this, you might be a good candidate if:

  • You are actively pursuing a career in ministry or a ministry related area - or exploring what a video role could look like inside of ministry.
  • You are proficient using video editing and motion graphics software (DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, etc.)
  • You are proficient with different types of cameras (we use Canon line), lenses, filters, and equipment
  • You can brainstorm or visualize different ways to tell stories in terms of composition, lighting, audio, location and effectively translate it into digital visual media
  • You are a natural storyteller
  • You have a valid driver's license and are able to travel to video shoot locations
  • You are available to work occasional evening and weekend hours
