Seasonal Hockey Scorekeeper
About the Role
The Seasonal Hockey Scorekeeper is responsible for keeping an accurate record of game events during hockey games. This includes tracking goals, penalties, shots, and game time while working with referees and rink staff to ensure games run smoothly. Scorekeepers play an important role in providing accurate game information for players, coaches, and spectators.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of hockey rules and scoring.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous scorekeeping or timekeeping experience.
Experience using electronic scoring systems.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to remain calm and accurate under pressure.
Responsibilities
Record goals, assists, penalties, shots, and other game events.
Operate the scoreboard and game clock when assigned.
Enter game information accurately into the scoring system.
Work with referees to confirm penalties, goals, and other official game information.
Prepare game sheets and ensure all records are complete.
Report any scoring or equipment issues to rink management.
Follow league rules and rink procedures.
Skills
