Homes for Independent Living, a MyPath company, provides an array of service models in a variety of residential settings. We support people through individualized service plans that range from high personal care needs to those who present complex behavioral challenges. HIL is looking for a Direct Support Professional – Float (DSP - Float) to join our team. A DSP - Float provides direct care support services for clients across a regional area in order to maximize the individual’s potential. Following Individual Service Plans and Behavioral Support Plans, a DSP - Float is focused on providing services that enhance the overall health, safety, and welfare of their clients.

As a Direct Support Professional - Float, you will:

· Work in a variety of programs within a regional area

· Interact with clients assisting with day to day tasks

· Engage in fun activities with clients

· Health monitoring and medication administration

· Meal preparation in accordance to dietary guidelines

· Light housekeeping

· Assist with personal cares as needed

· Redirect client behaviors

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 18 years of age

· Personal vehicle with proof of insurance

· Valid Wisconsin Driver’s license for the past 3 years

· Ability to work a variety of shifts

· Communication & Problem-Solving skills

· Successful completion of a caregiver background check, TB test and Health Scree
