Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse Float (LPN Float) is responsible for pre-visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions and carries out both administrative and clinical tasks as directed by a medical provider. This position is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit. This role will support multiple locations.

What you will do

• Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.
• Coordinate provider schedules and appointments, enter orders and prepare patient charts.
• Instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure or certification.
• Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations.
• Maintain exams rooms and equipment to be within infection control standards. Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room.
• Work at multiple sites with variable shifts at the supervisor's direction to cover leaves of absence, PTO (Paid Time Off), or department demands.

Experience Qualifications

• Current clinical experience as a licensed practical nurse Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid Practical Nursing license issued by the state of WI Upon Hire Required
• CPR/Basic Life support for Healthcare Providers certification from approved program Upon Hire Required
