Dishwasher Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and attentive Full-Time Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. As a vital member of our back-of-house operations, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitizing cookware, dishes, and utensils, and ensuring the kitchen area remains clean, safe, and efficient. This full-time position requires availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial dishwashing equipment according to safety standards.
• Scrape, wash, rinse, sanitize, and stack dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans efficiently.
• Ensure clean items are properly dried, organized, and restored to designated storage locations for front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain clean floor surfaces throughout the kitchen and dish pit areas.
• Empty trash cans, recyclables, and compost bins regularly, disposing of waste in designated external areas.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food prep tasks or light cleaning duties during peak or downtime hours as requested.
• Comply with all health department regulations, food safety standards, and safety precautions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Prior restaurant or kitchen dishwashing experience preferred; willing to train motivated candidates.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift items up to 50 lbs consistently throughout a shift.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork skills and a positive, collaborative attitude.
