Position Summary

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic care that improves residents’ mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care as directed by the Physical Therapist
  • Carry out treatment plans prescribed by the physician and therapist
  • Document daily treatments and weekly progress notes
  • Assist with rehab and patient care conferences
  • Monitor and report patient progress and changes
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy programs and post-discharge care
  • Assist with training of Restorative Aides
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment
  • Report equipment concerns and ensure proper maintenance

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
  • Active, unencumbered PTA license in South Carolina (required)
  • Must maintain all continuing education and remain in good standing with the State Board
  • Experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred
  • Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Compassion for an underserved population
