Transfer Team Associate

Description

Job Summary: This is an on call, part-time, position. The associate will drive a company vehicle and will interact directly with families and healthcare or hospice care providers for the sole purpose of transferring the deceased into our care.

Duties:

• Receives incoming calls and responds appropriately either driving the deceased into funeral home care or transferring the call to a Funeral Director for further action.
• Demonstrates compassionate and professional demeanor over phone and during in person interactions with family/medical staff.
• Commits to standards of professional appearance and attire.
• Adheres to the highest safety standards and protocols.
• Demonstrates the outmost respect for the deceased and family members during the transfer process.

Requirements

Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have an effective ability to lift in order to assist with transfer of deceased from place of death. It also requires a professional and compassionate demeanor. Must possess a valid driver’s license with insurable driving record required.

Physical Requirements: In order to perform the essential job duties, the ideal candidate must be able to complete all the physical requirements of the job, lift and carry over 100 lbs., push/pull up to 300lbs. and use equipment, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Occasional exposure to biological and chemical hazard. PPE will be provided.
