    Duties:

    • Assist in filming and editing productions, performances, and lectures for FMS and other departments
    • Cleaning the studio as well as cleaning and sorting gear as it is returned
    • Verify returned equipment is all present functional
    • Contribute to routine equipment upkeep – Charging batteries, cleaning lenses, formatting storage.
    • Deliver equipment on campus if supervisor is unavailable
    • Other duties as assigned

 

The Digital Media Production Assistant is responsible for assisting with the upkeep and organization of the production studio. Additionally, they will be asked to assist other departments with video production needs including running cameras and recording audio for events and editing the footage if needed.

The Digital Media Production Assistant will be expected to know or learn to operate multiple types/brands of cameras to accommodate the needs of external departments and equipment limitations.

The Digital Media Production Assistant will help organize and track equipment for students in media production classes. They will also assist in the Digital Media Equipment Manager to ensure all gear is accounted for. The Digital Media Technical Assistant will troubleshoot any issues that students may have with their gear. They will be responsible for inspecting equipment for damage upon its return as well as

Must have completed or be enrolled in at least one of the following classes or be a part of the Film and Media Studies Concentration.
