With direction, student organizes, coordinates and/or performs work in
administration of departmental operations or activities. Requires
excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills and
able to direct the work of others. Must be detail oriented, possess
strong oral and written communication skills, and be proficient with
Microsoft Office and/or other relevant technologies.
Duties:
LCC Program Coordinator - Events and Special Programs position within
the Latinx/e Cultural Center under the direct supervision of the Director
of Intercultural Affairs. The LCC PC establishes a cohesive inclusive
community in the Latinx/e Cultural; facilitates educational and inclusive
programs; acts as a positive role model for students in the LCC;
manages resources and materials in the LCC; and completes
administrative tasks as necessary.
LCC PCs are expected to meet the expectations outlined below:
Assist with general tasks (Replenish supplies, wash blankets, talk
with students, program preparation, etc.)
Contribute to the Latinx/e Cultural Center's daily upkeep and
organization such as cleaning up trash, and dusting.
Coordinate with Latinx/e student led organizations (BRASA, SACNAS And SOL) to host inclusive, educational, and community building
programs each semester by attending LCC Advisory Board meetings
Co-Coordinate special program for the following events:
o LCC Flagship Programs and Community Center Spaces (Fall and Spring)
o Welcome Back Carne Asada (Fall)
o Chisme y Cafecito
o Mi Gente Grad
Participate in the Multicultural Leadership Council
Attend a minimum of two advisory meetings per month with the Director
of Intercultural Affairs
Promote and encourage the use of the LCC by all multicultural
students
- Help create and distribute marketing materials.
- Know how to refer students to key resources throughout campus
. Support Latinx/e Cultural Center and Intercultural Affairs
programming
