The student works in a supervised experience that integrates knowledge
and/or theory learned in the classroom with practical application and
skills development in a professional setting with routine feedback.
Learning experience should benefit the intern and not simply an
operational work experience. Position may require knowledge of relevant
technologies, a positive attitude, flexibility, and good time
management and communication skills.
Duties:
Contributes to the creation of multi-platform brand content in support
of Grinnell's mission, goals, and strategic priorities through the
creation of video and still images to be added to the existing photo
library
and used on a variety of platforms; works with team members to develop
and execute creative, engaging brand content that meets project
objectives
for campus stakeholders, donors, alumni, student recruitment,
image-building, and other operations of the College as assigned; and
monitors engagement with our audiences and shares insights and
recommendations to improve and optimize content. Student must have
excellent written and oral communication, research, organizational,
and multitasking skills to work on a range of print and digital
publications
that communicate the heart and soul of Grinnell College to alumni,
prospective students, and on-campus audiences. Will assist with
special events and projects as needed, and may provide general
office assistance in the communications office.
