Part-Time Retail Associate – Brownells (Grinnell, IA)
Starting pay: $16–$18/hour (based on experience)
Average 24–28 hours/week | Rotating shifts, between the hours of 9 AM–6 PM (weekdays & weekends)

As a Part-Time Retail Associate, you’ll be the friendly face customers rely on when shopping for their next hunting trip, range day, or gunsmithing project. Whether you’re helping a first-time buyer, recommending optics and accessories, or ringing up purchases at the register, your enthusiasm and firearms knowledge will make every customer feel confident and welcome.

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver top-tier customer service in our retail store, engaging visitors with product knowledge and a smile.
• Operate the cash register and manage accurate transaction records.
• Guide customers through returns, exchanges, and firearm compliance paperwork with professionalism and precision.
• Keep shelves stocked, signage updated, and merchandising displays sharp and on-brand.
• Support appraisals and trade-ins with an eye for quality and detail.

What You Bring:

• 1+ year of firearms experience (retail, hobbyist, military, or gunsmithing background)
• A proactive, team-first mindset and strong communication skills
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekdays and weekends, between the hours of 9 AM–6 PM
