Student Research Assistant- Manzo

The assistant will work with Professor Manzo to provide technical and operational support for an active research laboratory. The student will perform routine laboratory tasks under moderate supervision while exercising independent judgment, attention to detail, and initiative. The position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with laboratory procedures, research materials, laboratory safety, and the care and handling of Drosophila melanogaster.

The successful candidate should demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to follow written and verbal technical directions, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new laboratory techniques and procedures. Basic computer and software skills are also expected. Student should also be able to assist with the care, maintenance, and handling of Drosophila melanogaster (fruit flies).
