The student – under general supervision of designated supervisor and using independent judgement – will perform a variety of duties in support of communications activities in the Office of Development & Alumni Relations (DAR). This position will provide support to the Development and Alumni Relations team by assisting with social media strategy and execution, article writing, proofreading, graphic design, drafting communications, interviewing alums and students, and other special projects in the office. The person hired may occasionally be asked to attend meetings or conduct historical or comparative research.  Â

The position requires strong communication skills and proficient writing ability, knowledge of Microsoft Office or other specialized software applications, demonstrated experience with social media platforms, and an ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently. A familiarly with AP style and graphic design is helpful but not required.
