Job Summary
A graduate who has completed an accredited school of nursing program and has been accepted into the three-month Registered Nurse internship program.  The Nurse Intern provides safe, efficient and therapeutically effective patient care.
 
Job Specifications:

Communicates patient / family health care needs to the appropriate health care provider.
Maintains supplies and equipment of the assigned area.
Participates as a member of the team to achieve business goals, quality outcomes and customer satisfaction.
Practices within legal, ethical and professional boundaries.
 
Required Qualifications
Education:  Graduate from an accredited, state approved school of nursing program.
Licensure:  Must obtain MS license as a registered nurse before entering the internship program.
Experience:  N/A
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:  Effective oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of procedures and techniques in administering and providing patient care services. Knowledge of supplies used in patient care. Knowledge of medical terminology. Understanding of asepsis and sterile techniques to avoid infection of patients and self or contamination of equipment and supplies. Excellent interpersonal skills while understanding the needs for a positive patient experience. Ability to prioritize effectively and manage time efficiently. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
