Role Overview

Earthood is looking for a ProductAssociate | Technical Product & Strategy to work closely with Product,Technology and Business teams to build, improve and maintain digital productsand internal technology platforms.

This role is ideal for a fresher orearly-career candidate with a strong technical foundation and an interestin Product Management. You will work closely with engineering teams tounderstand systems, translate business problems into technical requirements,analyse data and APIs, test features, troubleshoot issues and contribute to thedevelopment of scalable digital solutions.

The role provides exposure to productdevelopment, software architecture, APIs, databases, automation, systemintegrations and climate-tech/MRV platforms.

Key Responsibilities

●      Work closely with Product andTechnology teams to understand business problems and convert them into clearproduct and technical requirements.

●      Analyse existing systems,workflows and processes to identify product gaps, inefficiencies andopportunities for automation.

●      Create detailed functionalrequirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, business rules andvalidation logic.

●      Work with Engineering teamsduring solution design, development, testing and deployment.

●      Understand and work with RESTAPIs, JSON payloads, webhooks, API endpoints and system integrations.

●      Analyse data flows betweendifferent systems and understand dependencies between applications, databasesand services.

●      Use SQL to querydatabases, validate data, investigate issues and support producttroubleshooting.

●      Use browser developer tools,API testing tools and logs to investigate and reproduce product issues.

●      Participate in debuggingdiscussions with engineers and help identify the root cause of functional andintegration issues.

●      Work with Git/GitHub andunderstand basic software development and version-control workflows.

●      Design and document productworkflows, API flows, system interactions and process diagrams.

●      Support UAT, regressiontesting and feature validation, including identification of edge cases andunexpected scenarios.

●      Validate API responses,database records and system behaviour against defined requirements.

●      Coordinate bug reporting,prioritisation, testing and resolution with Technology teams.

●      Contribute to the developmentand enhancement of internal platforms, dashboards, automation workflows andclient-facing digital products.

●      Identify repetitive manualprocesses and explore opportunities for automation using APIs, scripts orworkflow tools.

●      Participate in productplanning, feature prioritisation and technical discussions.

●      Support product demonstrationsand technical walkthroughs for internal stakeholders.

●      Maintain clear technical andproduct documentation for features, workflows, APIs and system processes.

Technical Skills

Required

●      Basic to intermediate SQL — querying, filtering, joins, aggregations and data validation.

●       Understanding of REST APIs,HTTP methods, status codes, JSON and API authentication.

●      Understanding of webhooksand API-to-API integrations.

●      Basic understanding of databases,relational data models and data flows.

●      Basic programming knowledge in Python,JavaScript/TypeScript, and frameworks.

●      Ability to read and understandexisting code, even if not primarily working as a developer.

●      Familiarity with Git andGitHub.

●      Familiarity with Postman orsimilar API testing tools.

●      Ability to use browserDeveloper Tools for basic debugging.

●      Understanding of frontend/backendarchitecture and client-server communication.

●      Understanding of basic authenticationand authorisation concepts such as API keys, tokens and sessions.

●      Understanding of SDLC,Agile/Scrum, testing, UAT, debugging and release processes.

●      Ability to create technicaldocumentation, flow diagrams and product specifications.

Good to Have

●      Experience building a smallapplication, API, automation or personal technical project.

●      Familiarity with Python,JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js or FastAPI.

●      Understanding of React ormodern frontend frameworks.

●      Familiarity with PostgreSQL,MySQL or another relational database.

●      Basic understanding of cloudplatforms, deployment and hosting.

●      Familiarity with Docker orcontainerisation.

●      Exposure to AI/ML, LLMs,automation or data engineering.

●      Experience using Jira, Linear,Notion or similar product/project management tools.

●      Understanding of micro services,queues or event-driven systems.

●      Interest or academic exposureto climate-tech, ESG, carbon markets, MRV or sustainability.

Requirements

●      Bachelor's degree in ComputerScience, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science or a relatedtechnical field, or equivalent technical qualification.

●      0–2 years of experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

●      Strong fundamentals inprogramming, databases and web technologies.

●      Strong analytical andproblem-solving ability.

●      Ability to understand technicalsystems and communicate effectively with engineers.

●      Ability to break down ambiguousbusiness problems into structured technical and product requirements.

●      Strong attention to detail,especially when working with data, APIs and system workflows.

●      Willingness to learn newtechnologies and understand unfamiliar codebases and systems.

●      Ability to take ownership oftasks and work independently.

●      Strong written and verbalcommunication skills.
