Echo Sonographer 

UP Health System Portage 


Schedule: 

1.0 FTE 40 hours/ week M-F

Days, Varied Shifts, (10 or 12 hr/shifts)

This position has a $10,000 sign on bonus for eligible external employees

How you’ll contribute 

An Echo sonographer who excels in this role:

  • Perform noninvasive diagnostic cardiovascular studies, as well as the clerical duties associated with the procedures.

  • Receives patients, explains method of procedure and makes sure patients are comfortable 

  • Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities

  • Maintains equipment and supplies and organizes work areas

  • Keeps accurate records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound and keeps patient flow smooth

What we’re looking for 

  • Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

  • High School Education required

  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers registered, or registry eligibility fulfilled

  • Certifications: BLS required

  • Formal training in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound required
