About The Opportunity
The Double Backer Operator is responsible for operating the control panel and monitoring the computer at the double backer section of the corrugator. The person in this position will make the proper splices and check the paper for bonding. They will also maintain clean plates and monitor the starch flow by making sure it does not overflow.Overnight Shift
Sunday-Thursday 10PM-6AM
Pay:
Training: $29.22
Qualified $31.37
Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Check paper for bonding Â
- Adjust adhesive rolls and check meter rollsÂ
- Understand and make splicesÂ
- Repair or assist maintenance in the repair of machine as necessary Â
- Ensure quality is a work priority by being attentive to detail and accuracy and by actively seeking work process improvements— quality is the responsibility of all employeesÂ
- Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner Â
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the businessÂ
- Ability to work on a rotating shift as neededÂ
- Ability to effectively work in teamsÂ
- Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and peopleÂ
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of rolesÂ
- Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the jobÂ
- Ability to read a tape measure/rulerÂ
- Good mathematical skills
