Environment may be stressful at times, therefore ability to work under stressful conditions is necessary. Lifting up to 50 lbs may be required, anything over 50 lbs should be a team lift or with the use of a lifting aid. As a condition of employment, employees must adhere to:· OCH Code of Conduct· OCH Policies and Procedures· Scope of Practice within License/Certification.· HIPAA and HIPAA Security Confidentiality Standards· Workplace Safety· Mandatory Training· Annual Compliance EducationESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:• Assist patients from walk ins or phone with account questions• Process patient payments• Complete patient payment contracts and set up recurring card payments when necessary• Assist employees with payment resolution by payment in full or payroll deduction • Complete Good Faith Estimates as needed• Assist patients with Financial Assistance applications and process applications for approval or denial • Assist patients with Indigent Care applications/process• Complete task worklist assigned by Trubridge Outsourcing Team or onsite team members• Complete various worklists/reports related to patient balance and applying appropriate discounts• Provide back up to cashier in processing daily deposits, mailpaid completion and handling cash/safe protocol• Participating in educational activities and staff meetings when necessary.• Maintaining confidentiality and adheres to all hospital policies, including HIPPA guidelines• Other duties as assignedQualifications: QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required for all positions (may be allowed to sign a GED agreement to obtain within 6 months).
