Located in Hatfield, Pennsylvania, our company is focused on providing high-quality packaging solutions while building efficient manufacturing operations and sustainable long-term growth.

We are seeking dedicated professionals who are excited about contributing to a growing organization and helping establish the processes, systems, and operational standards that support our continued success.

Position Summary

1. Build Financial Infrastructure from Scratch

  • Design and implement a complete manual accounting system for a new manufacturing plant (General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and basic costing calculation) in the absence of an ERP.

2. Daily Accounting Operations

  • Review source documents, post journal entries, perform bank reconciliations, maintain cash logs, process vendor payments, and handle customer invoicing to ensure accurate, timely, and well-documented books.

3.Tax & Compliance

  • Manage federal and Pennsylvania state filings, including sales tax and payroll tax. Coordinate with external CPAs on annual corporate income tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.

4. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and simple cost analyses (material, labor, and overhead breakdowns).

5. Reporting to HQ Finance Director

  • Submit standardized monthly financial reports and key operational data on schedule.
  • Proactively escalate significant issues (large payments, tax risks, bank account changes, etc.).
  • Ensure local accounting practices align with corporate accounting policies.

6. Internal Controls & Policies

  • Draft foundational finance policies and controls (expense reimbursement, payment approval workflows, invoice handling) to support audits and customer factory assessments.

7. Banking & External Relations

  • Manage company bank accounts and prepare financial documentation for annual audits, potential financing, or customer compliance reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive, full-cycle accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environment.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial statement preparation, and accounting principles.

  • Experience managing General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, PivotTables, financial modeling, cross-sheet references, and reconciliation functions.

  • Ability to establish and maintain accounting records and financial reporting systems without an existing ERP platform.

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, including direct material costs, labor costs, overhead allocation, and inventory accounting.

  • Familiarity with federal, Pennsylvania state, and local tax compliance requirements.

  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and meet financial reporting deadlines.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate financial information effectively to local management and corporate leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.

  • Previous accounting experience in a startup manufacturing facility or rapidly growing organization.

  • Experience developing financial policies, internal controls, and accounting systems from the ground up.

  • Experience with manufacturing inventory reconciliation, product costing, and cost analysis.

  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.

  • Experience collaborating with international corporate finance teams.
