Material Handler

Title: Material Handler 

Reports to: Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

Scope of Position:

The Material Handler is responsible for movement of material throughout the plant including loading and unloading trucks as required by the Shipping Supervisor. 

Responsibilities:

• Label cartons 
• Wrap and band pallets
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks
• Provide pallet weights and counts to shipping clerk
• Move material to all department staging areas 
• Perform any other tasks/duties as required

Qualifications:

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work overtime as needed

Preferred

• 3-5 years of experience with Shipping, receiving, and general warehouse
• Experience operating forklift and riding pallet jack (willing to train)
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Experience using ERP systems
