JOB DESCRIPTION:Â Guest Services Experience AssociateÂ
DEPARTMENT: Zoo – Guest ServicesÂ
REPORTS TO: Visitor Experience Operations Manager and the Manager on Duty
LOCATION:Â Hattiesburg Zoo
SHIFT: Part-time: Generally Tuesday – Sunday, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required. Maximum of 29 hours per week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
•   Ensure that each Guest receives outstanding Guest Service by providing a welcoming, friendly, and positive environment for every guest. This includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, demonstrating solid product knowledge and all other components of Guest Service.Â
•   Assist with crowd control and line management while maintaining positive and engaging interactions with guests.
•   Ticket & cash handling depending on location.
•   Maintain assigned location zone & surrounding environment in the form of but not limited to: garbage clean-up, leaf and debris pickup and cleanliness of machinery.
•   Complete daily operational and maintenance tasks as it pertains to multiple locations.Â
•   Assist with inventory control, merchandise receiving, stocking, replenishment, monitoring of floor stock, etc.Â

•   Ensure merchandise and other necessary supplies are restocked daily and displayed appropriately.
•   Will be required to work Zoo & Serengeti Springs related special events as needed and assist with event setup, guest support, and breakdown.
•   Maintain current knowledge of all product knowledge information, including tickets, season passes, annual passes, animal experiences, merchandise promotions, test merchandise, advertisements, and other guest-facing information.Â
•   Adhere to all company policies, procedures and operational practices including requirements related to signage, pricing, cash handling, and loss prevention.
•   Display knowledge of opening and closing procedures for all assigned locations, including but not limited to:
•   Gift Shop
•   Zoo Ticket Booth
•   Zoo Market
•   Ladha’s Market
•   Train
•   Ropes Course
•   Serengeti Springs Ticket Booth
•   Bag Check
•   Scanner
•   Serengeti Springs Market
•   Special Projects
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Â
Knowledge and Skills:Â
•   Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
•   Must be able to work under pressure and remain calm, professional, and effective during high-traffic days, peak operating periods, and special eventsÂ
•   Must be highly energetic, motivated, and enthusiastic about creating exceptional guest experiences.
•   Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
