Summary
- The Senior Property & Development Manager is a pivotal role within the local authority, tasked with advancing the strategic property and asset management agenda. This position supports the Head of Property, Regeneration & Economic Development in executing the Council's vision for property management. The role is crucial for ensuring that property assets are effectively managed to align with organizational goals and enhance overall asset performance.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the creation, execution, and assessment of the Council's Strategic Asset Management Plan.
- Formulate property strategies, policies, and frameworks that align with corporate priorities and service objectives.
- Lead initiatives for estate rationalization and optimization to boost efficiency and asset performance.
- Ensure that property assets are suitable for their intended purposes and meet organizational requirements.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for income generation, capital receipts, and enhancement of asset value.
Requirements:
Essential Experience
- Extensive experience in strategic asset management and managing corporate property portfolios.
- Proven track record in leading complex property projects and transformation initiatives.
- Proficient in managing acquisitions, disposals, development opportunities, and property investments.
- Strong understanding of landlord and tenant legislation and professional property practices.
Essential Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Property, Real Estate, Surveying, Valuation, Estate Management, or a related field.
- Corporate Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS or FRICS).
- Valid Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle for business purposes.

- Hourly Rate: £37.43 per hour Umbrella
- Working Hours: 37 hours per week
- Location: County Hall, Freemans Way, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, SA61 1TP, United Kingdom
- Work Pattern: 3 days remote, 2 days in office
- Payment Schedule: Bi-weekly
