SUMMARY:
This role is essential to maintaining the safety, reliability, and performance of electrical power distribution and process control systems at both plants. The Electrician installs, calibrates, documents, troubleshoots, and maintains these systems to support energy efficiency, minimize downtime, maximize productivity, and advance state-of-the-art process control. All installation and maintenance work must be performed in accordance with applicable safety requirements to protect plant personnel from electrical hazards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.      Supports the operating principles of Glass Fiber and Filtration Media manufacturing within the Maintenance Department.
2.      Develops, promotes, and maintains effective communication with internal customers, including manufacturing, shipping, and laboratory personnel.
3.      Installs conduit and wiring in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), applicable building codes, and established standards for new equipment, power systems, and control systems.
4.      Connects, tests, and calibrates machinery, controls, and instrumentation as required by the manufacturing process.
5.      Tests, calibrates, diagnoses, and repairs power distribution systems, machine controls, and instrumentation. Diagnoses and repairs computerized system malfunctions.
6.      Modifies software as required by operational and process changes. Maintains the plant control software library and documentation for plant control and power systems in accordance with established standards.
7.      Maintains an efficient, clean shop and leaves all work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
8.      Receives and carries out work instructions from supervision.
9.      Observes and inspects product conditions to ensure compliance with quality standards.
10.  Complies with all safety, environmental, and quality requirements established by internal policies and external regulations.
11.  Adheres to applicable general and job-specific ISO quality system procedures as defined in company quality documents.
12.  Assists the Process Control Technician as needed.
13.  Lays out and designs basic electrical circuits.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1.      Five years of experience as a journeyman electrician in an industrial plant environment.
2.      Experience with PLC programming and variable frequency drives is preferred.
3.      Demonstrated skill in installing, calibrating, and testing industrial electrical and electronic equipment, including programmable controllers and electronic drives.
4.      Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams and blueprints and using mathematics to calculate electrical installation requirements and troubleshoot electrical systems.
5.      Experience with instrumentation is desirable.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:
- This position requires physical activity throughout most of the shift, including walking, standing, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- This position is performed primarily in a machinery environment and may involve exposure to high ambient temperatures under certain operating conditions.
- This position requires rotating shifts, including weekend and holiday work.
Pay Transparency Range: 24.00 - 31.00 USD Annually/Hourly
