The Arc Westchester, a leading organization in the field of Human Services is seeking a motivated, compassionate and creative individual to help empower young adults with developmental disabilities to achieve their personal best and gain greater independence through suitable employment.Â
Job Summary
- This candidate will work with a team of dedicated professionals from across multiple organizations to develop career opportunities using Person Centered Planning for adults and transition students with developmental disabilities.Â
- Candidate develops career and employment opportunities and provides retention supports for individuals employed in the community.
- Communicate with employers, families and service providers regarding progress or concerns at the work site.
- Provide assistance with job and interpersonal skills to individuals at their place of employment.
- The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, be reliable, energetic and a strong advocate for the young adults Arc of Westchester serves.Â
Job Requirements
- The position requires a HS Diploma, Bachelors degree preferredÂ
- Valid NYS Driver’s License and a reliable car.Â
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.Â
