Action Gypsum Supply is looking to recruit Section 3 and targeted section 3 workers to join our team as a Stocker Scrapper to work on Civic Crossing prevailing wage project.

Partnering with general contractors and our customers, we help support families and our communities by providing the building materials necessary for the construction of new and existing buildings.
About the Position: A Stocker Scrapper is responsible for the safe loading, unloading and stocking of building materials.
Job Requirements, Role and Responsibilities
Worker must be a Section 3 or targeted section 3 worker:
Section 3 Worker: Income for the previous or annualized calendar year is below 80% of the area median income established by HUD or a participant in a YouthBuild program.聽
Targeted Section 3 Worker: Currently fits or, when hired, fits at leas one of the following categories, as documented in the past five years:聽
路 Low or very low-income worker living within in the service area of the project. The service area is within a one-mile radius of the section 3 project. If fewer than 5,000 people live within that one-mile radius, the circle may be expanded outward until that population is reached.聽

Tasks
- Stock building materials at job sites using company provided equipment
- Perform daily job site analysis to ensure safe handling and placing of building materials at job sites
- Coordinate all wallboard counts and job site pictures. Send pictures of completed stocks to stocking superintendent
- Stock material following ticket instructions and stocking supervisor/crew leader directions
- Maintain constant communication with stocking supervisor and stocking crew to avoid stocking errors
- Coordinate all shoring pick and delivery
- Update and maintain shoring logs
- Turn in completed paperwork daily
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor and stocking crew to improve overall service
Requirements
Applicant must be a section 3 or targeted section 3 worker

Education / Special Certifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- Forklift Certified preferred
Basic Skills
- Reading Comprehension - Ability to read and 聽聽聽聽聽understand basic English and written sentences and paragraphs in work 聽聽聽聽聽related documents
- Communication Skills - Ability to effectively 聽聽聽聽聽communicate with management, co-workers and customers, convey information 聽聽聽聽聽effectively and understand basic instructions
- Writing - Ability to write basic English
Technical Skills
- Forklift certified if responsibilities require the 聽聽聽聽聽use of a forklift
Physical Requirements
- Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
- Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 聽聽聽聽聽pounds of force constantly to move objects
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate 聽聽聽聽聽to employees/customers as well as function safely around heavy equipment at jobsites
