We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized, compassionate care to critically ill and premature newborns in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The RN will monitor neonatal patients, administer treatments, collaborate with the healthcare team, and support families throughout the course of care.
Position: Registered Nurse – NICU
Location: Henderson, NV
Unit: Level III NICU
Contract: 8 Weeks
Start Date: August 31, 2026
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts
Travel Rate: $85/hr
Local Rate: $75–$80/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns
- Assess, monitor, and document neonatal conditions and responses to treatment
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered
- Manage and monitor neonatal equipment and support systems
- Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately
- Assist with neonatal emergencies and resuscitation procedures
- Collaborate with neonatologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Educate and support parents and families
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow safety protocols
- Follow evidence-based NICU practices and infection-control standards
Requirements
- Recent NICU RN experience required
- BLS – Required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required
- STABLE Program – Required
- Current RN license applicable to the assignment
- Strong neonatal assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills
Travel eligibility: Based on applicable facility requirements.
