Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Imaging Tech, you will perform a variety of advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures across diverse imaging modalities, under the general direction of departmental leadership.Every day, you will expertly operate complex imaging equipment, precisely execute imaging protocols, and meticulously monitor patients to ensure their safety and comfort throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures.To be successful in this role, you will skillfully produce high-quality diagnostic images, collaborate effectively with the medical team, and steadfastly advocate for patient safety and optimal outcomes within the imaging environment.

 

Job Specific Functions

  • Ensures a safe environment related to equipment, bed/cart rails, mental status.
  • Provides radiological education that includes explanation and rationale for all test, equipment and procedures explaining to patient prior to performance.
  • Allows control and choices over situations and environment as appropriate to condition and situation.
  • Allows for cultural and religious beliefs in providing services.
  • Observes for signs of abuse/neglect.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Minimum two (2) year experience as Imaging Technologist. Catheterization Laboratory experience preferred
  • Completion of AMA approved Radiologic Technology program
  • Must be proficient in interpreting E.K.G. and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump training
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
  • BLS-American Heart Association
  • ACLS-American Heart Association 
  • Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
