STUDIO LEADER – SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Boutique Fitness & Wellness | Leadership Opportunity

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a business-minded leader with a strong sales background and the ability to drive results. This position is responsible for actively growing the business through membership sales, lead generation, community partnerships, and member retention.

The right candidate doesn't wait for opportunities to come to them. They actively seek out new business, identify gaps in the sales process, follow up with prospects, build strategic relationships, and find ways to maximize every opportunity.

We need someone who can lead a team, but also roll up their sleeves and personally contribute to sales performance. This individual understands how to balance business development, membership growth, retention, and operational excellence to create a successful studio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Business Growth

  • Drive membership sales, revenue growth, and overall studio performance through proactive selling and lead conversion.

  • Personally conduct membership presentations, follow up with prospects, overcome objections, and close sales.

  • Identify missed sales opportunities and develop strategies to improve conversion, upgrades, and revenue.

  • Monitor sales performance and KPIs, including leads, first visits, conversion rates, new memberships, and revenue.

  • Coach the team on sales techniques, follow-up expectations, and achieving sales goals.

Business Development, Grassroots Marketing & Community Partnerships

  • Generate new business through proactive networking, grassroots marketing, local outreach, and strategic partnerships.

  • Build relationships with local businesses, fitness studios, healthcare providers, and community organizations.

  • Plan and execute off-site pop-ups, promotional events, and community activations that generate leads, referrals, and new memberships.

  • Actively seek opportunities to introduce the studio to new audiences and turn community connections into measurable business growth.

  • Develop and maintain partnerships that increase brand awareness, first visits, and long-term membership opportunities.

Member Retention & Experience

  • Take ownership of membership retention by identifying disengaged members and proactively addressing cancellation risks.

  • Monitor member attendance, utilization, and engagement to identify opportunities for re-engagement.

  • Build strong member relationships that encourage loyalty, referrals, and long-term memberships.

  • Address member concerns, strengthen relationships, and ensure an exceptional experience throughout the customer journey.

  • Identify opportunities to increase membership value through upgrades, additional services, and referrals.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while establishing clear expectations and accountability.

  • Train team members on membership sales, lead follow-up, member engagement, and customer service.

  • Monitor individual and team performance, provide ongoing coaching, and drive results.

  • Lead by example through personal sales performance, professionalism, and initiative.

Studio Operations & Cleanliness

  • Maintain a consistently clean, organized, safe, and welcoming studio environment.

  • Ensure all equipment, workout or treatment areas, restrooms, and common areas meet company standards.

  • Oversee daily opening, closing, cleaning, and maintenance responsibilities.

  • Hold the team accountable for operational standards while actively participating in maintaining the studio.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

The Studio Leader reports directly to the Studio Manager and/or Studio Leadership Team. This position works closely with leadership to achieve sales and retention goals, develop business opportunities, lead the team, and maintain operational excellence.
