High School Assistant Hockey Coach

Pope Saint John Paul II Preparatory School is seeking a high school assistant hockey coach. This role requires a proven background in coaching hockey, strong leadership and organizational skills, and a genuine passion for guiding student-athletes to grow both athletically and personally. The assistant coach will help to foster a culture of teamwork, sportsmanship, and excellence while mentoring students in character, discipline, and academic balance. Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher. Pope Saint John Paul II Preparatory School is a 6th-12th Grade Catholic School in the Diocese of Nashville. Key Responsibilities:

· Serve as an assistant hockey coach.

· Assist in planning practices that enhance skill development.

· Lead, motivate, and mentor student-athletes. 

· Collaborate with school administration, faculty, and parents to promote a positive athletic experience. 

· Assist in managing team logistics, including scheduling, equipment, and game-day operations.

 
Qualifications:

· Experience coaching in middle school, high school, or college hockey programs.

· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

· Commitment to fostering a student-centered environment emphasizing character and personal growth.
