Position Summary
The Emergency Room Technician (ER Tech) provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting. The ER Tech assists with patient care, performs clinical and non-clinical duties, and supports the healthcare team in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality care to patients of all ages.
Qualifications
- Completion of an approved Patient Care Technician (PCT), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an acute care or emergency setting preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong clinical and technical skills relevant to emergency care
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly to patient needs
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic patient care practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
